Traditionally, telecom companies rely on third-party administrators to manage claims. Glow has now embedded all administrator functions directly into its technology, eliminating the need for external administration.
Additionally, Glow’s platform incorporates all necessary regulatory compliance—both nationally and, in the U.S., state by state. Everything is fully automated.“All administrator functions and insurance regulations are automated,” said Cole. “Telecom companies can now remove their administrators entirely by leveraging the Glow platform, its insurance license, and Glow’s ‘fronter’ agreements.” To maximize profitability, Glow also assists telcos in setting up and managing a captive insurance model.This shift eliminates the need for traditional administrators—such as Assurant, Asurion, Likewise, and SquareTrade—whom Cole claims “exploit telcos and obscure profits.”
As a result, telecom phone insurance profits could surge from 45% to over 70%.As the telecom industry evolves, shifting from Telcos to Techos, innovation is essential.
